Today the CentOS-Project announced the immediate availability of CentOS-7 (1503), the second release of CentOS-7.
Find out more about the release announcement here: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2015-March/021006.html.
Also don't forget to read the release notes at the wiki: http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7.
Wish some notes about http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2015-April/021010.html can be added in the README.txt in isos/x86_64 directory. or maybe just replace .iso(s) with corresponding -01.iso(s), or delete the non -01.iso
The System menu item and some other
items are missing from the top bar.
This is especially interesting since
the RHEL admin guide specifically
refers to this menu along with clock,
calendar and other items. Applications
and Places are still there. What has
happened to the System menu on the
GNOME Desktop?
It is me or are the releases taking longer now that CentOS is under RH umbrella.
It's you .. Since the CentOS team began working directly with Red Hat in January 2014, the major point releases have come at the following intervals:
