  • Secure boot is working on CentOS Stream 9 and 10.
  • The CFP for CentOS Connect is open until December 15. Tell us about new developments or infrastructure for CentOS Stream, interesting developments in upstream projects, updates and innovations happening in our Special Interest Groups, and CentOS as a development platform for applications and derivatives.
  • Speaking of CentOS Connect, it's happening January 29-30, 2026 in Brussels, right before FOSDEM. It's free, but we strongly encourage that you register. Attendees who register in time will have first pick of sizes of our special edition hoodies.
  • Our friends at Fedora have announced Flock will be June 14-16, 2026 in Prague, Czechia. The Flock CFP is open, and has a CentOS and Friends track.
  • CentOS is on the organizing team for the FOSDEM Distros Devroom.

Kmods SIG

The Kmods SIG focuses on packaging and maintaining kernel modules for CentOS Stream and Enterprise Linux.

  • No SIG members have been added since last report. We welcome anybody that’s interested and willing to do work within the scope of the SIG to join and contribute.

  • The SIG started providing kernel modules for Enterprise Linux 10.

  • The SIG started providing Fedora flavored kernels for Enterprise Linux 10.

  • The SIG started providing NVIDIA Linux Open GPU Kernel Module builds for Enterprise Linux 8, 9, and 10 and CentOS Stream 9, and 10. This includes both the latest New Feature Branch (kmod-nvidia-open), supported Production Branch R570 (kmod-nvidia-open-570) and supported Long Term Support Branch R535 (kmod-nvidia-535). Note that at the time of this post, a new Long Term Support Branch, R580, has already been released, but it is not explicitly listed because R580 is also the most recent New Feature Branch. As soon as a newer New Feature Branch is released, a corresponding package, kmod-nvidia-open-580, will be provided.

Virt Sig

After the EOL of RHV by RedHat, team.blue took over the development of oVirt. We put a lot of effort in making all the pipelines build again, having CI and System tests working again etc. Next to that, we are preparing all packages to also build on CentOS 10 ! The end is near, with only a few packages left to build, and then we can finally ship a new oVirt release! Stay tuned!

Artwork SIG

The CentOS Artwork SIG exists to produce The CentOS Project Visual Identity.

  • Reviewing jekyll-theme-centos theme to improve integration with Bootstrap framework (e.g., adding CentOS Colors to theme-colors maps, new gradients).
  • Improving link presentation through a jekyll plugin, that will live in jekyll-theme-centos container image, to transforms markdown links into bootstrap links, at build time (no need to add bootstrap classes to markdown syntax during content writing, or using includes to render links properly).
  • Reviewing theme colors to improve color contrast.
  • Reviewing overall theme design.
